Manhunt Ends In Killer's Suicide At Scene Of The Crime
"WAGENER, SC — Authorities said a man who killed four women in Aiken County also took his own life after officers chased him in a car belonging to one of the victims.
"Aiken County Sheriff's spokesman Capt. Charles Barranco said 46-year-old Ken Meyers led deputies back early Sunday morning to the spot in Wagener where three bodies were found about nine hours before and shot himself. He was driving the fourth victim's car.
"Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said the first three bodies were found about 6 p.m. Saturday at a Daytona Road home in Wagener.
"Carlton said they have been identified at Ken Meyers's wife, Angela Meyers, 25, her twin sister, Tabitha T. Brown, 25, and their mother, Vicki May Hook Brown.
"All three died from single gunshot wounds, authorities said.
"Police said Ken Meyers had fled the scene.
"Aiken Coroner said another woman was discovered dead in Wagener later that night.
"Esther Baldwin, 47, ex-wife of Ken Meyers died from a similiar type of gunshot wound, said police.
"Authorities said Ken Meyers was discovered near Wagener in Esther Baldwin's vehicle.
"He then was chased back to the first crime scene where he took his own life, according to authorities.
"Myers returned to the original death scene at Daytona Road where Myer's took his own life, police said."
