Father And Daughter Found Hanging In Tree
"SAN JUAN, PR — Puerto Rico police say a 30-year-old man apparently hanged his 4-year-old daughter from a backyard tree and then used another noose to kill himself.
"Police spokesman Anibal Cortes said a neighbor discovered the bodies hanging from the same tree Sunday morning in the eastern mountain town of San Lorenzo.
"Cortez says Pedro Montanez Montanez was being investigated for domestic violence allegations reported two weeks ago by his estranged wife, the mother of the young girl.
"Investigators say no further details were immediately available, citing an ongoing probe."

The really sad thing is that the poor baby was not even important enough to reach the new in the US. I just spent 30 minutes trying to track down something on this case. If it had been a white child then it would have been all over the news. This poor baby and mother needs to be remembered just as much as any other child and family.

ReplyDeleteComments like "if it had been a white child" is just so ridiculous! You need to let go of the separatist attitude that clouds your mind. This probably did not make the news because Puerto Rico is such a corrupt place in regards to the police. If they don't provide information what is there to report? I mean remember the pregnant girl who was on her cell phone calling police from the trunk of the car? The PR police could not even save her life and she had a CELL PHONE! They lack motivation, resources, training and knowledge. It is practically a third world country! I hope PR becomes and state and then some rules can be followed and maybe people have a chance at justice- even if it is a farce.
