Elderly Pair Injured In Botched Murder/Suicide

"KAILUA, HI — A 69 year-old woman and her 71 year-old husband were taken to the Queens Medical Center with critical injuries.

"Police say around 10:00 Saturday morning, crews were called to a home on Kawainui St. in Kailua.

"When officers arrived, they found the woman with head injuries, and the man with a stab wound to his chest.

"Police believe the suspect may be the man. An attempted murder-suicide case has been opened."
