"He Was A Good Person"
"MARLIN, TX — A community is in shock after an overnight shooting at the Plantation Apartments in Marlin left a mother of three dead. Marlin police have yet to release a statement about the shooting and the alleged suicide of the shooter.
"Residents at the apartment complex said a dispute between the man and woman, who some say are husband and wife, ended in gun shots some time between 8:30 and 9 pm Friday.
"A family member of the alleged shooter described him as a `kind, hard-working man` who she says simply snapped.
"`I was shocked,` said Shelia Watley. `I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe it, but he was a good person and he really loved her and he loved them kids. It's still a shock to me.`
"Residents reported the man tried to take his own life at his trailer home south of the Plantation Apartments."
