Former Cop, Ex-wife In Critical Condition
"DAVIDSON, NC — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a double shooting in Davidson around 2:00 a.m. Saturday.
"Investigators said former CMPD officer Jeremy Hester shot his ex-wife, Erin Cobb, then turned the gun on himself.
"Witnesses told police Hester drove to his ex-wife's house on Callaway Hills Lane and then they started fighting inside the home.
"Moments later, Hester and Cobb came outside of the house and witnesses said they heard mulitple gunshots.
"Police said Hester shot his ex-wife in the neck and then shot himself in the head.
"Both were taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
"Cobb was listed in stable, but critical condition. Hester remained in critical condition Saturday morning.
"According to CMPD, Hester was hired on May 14, 2007 and resigned from duty as a patrol officer with the Metro Division on March 20, 2010."

Nice neighborhood (check out the video at WSOC). A little pricey for a cop's salary. Of course there's always overtime.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't Hester's house - the couple filed for divorce last year. Cobb was living at her mother's home.
