"CONCORD, CA - A Concord woman stabbed her 10-year-old daughter in the chest this morning before stabbing herself to death, police said."The girl called 911 at about 7:40 a.m. and said her mother had attacked her in their home on the 1400 block of Parkglen Court, near the corner of Ygnacio Valley Road and Clayton Road, Lt. Jim Lardieri said.
"The girl told police that she had been asleep when her mother, 39, attacked her with a knife. When the girl managed to escape with a laceration to her chest, the mother stabbed herself, police said.
"No one else was home at the time, police said.
"The mother's body was found in a bedroom, Lardieri said. Neither she nor her daughter has been identified."
