Health Problems May Have Led To Murder/Suicide

"HARRISBURG, PA - Susquehanna Township police said a double shooting on Locust Lane this morning was an attempted murder-suicide. Police said they were called to the home in the 2600 block of Locust Lane by William Scott, 62, who found his wife and daughter shot when he returned from work around 7 a.m. Police believe the shootings happened around 6:30 a.m.

"Susquehanna Township police Chief Robert Martin said at a press conference this afternoon that Sebrina Scott, 40, was found dead in her bed. She'd been shot in the head. Her mother, Betty Lou Scott, 61, was found by police in the driveway with a gunshot wound to her torso. Sebrina Scott lived at the house with her parents.

"Police said they believe Betty Scott was the shooter, but the investigation is continuing.

"Larry Thompson, who described himself as a friend of the family, said both Betty and Sebrina Scott had health problems."
