Mom Kills Disabled 13 Year Old Daughter

"SOUTH LYON, MI - A mom is accused of killing her own daughter and then trying to commit suicide.

"The 13-year-old girl is disabled and lives with her adopted parents in South Lyon.

"The teens health care worker reported to the family’s home for her regular shift on Saturday afternoon.

"When nobody came to the door, she went inside the house.

"The worker found the girl and her 52-year-old mother unresponsive in a upstairs bedroom.

"Police said the mother gave her daughter enough prescription drugs to kill her. They both overdosed.

"Police said the 13-year-old was dead when paramedics got there. The mom was unconscious and rushed to a near-by hospital were she’s in serious condition.

"The dad was out of town during the incident."
