"They Were Not The Best Of Friends"
"PAGE, AZ - Two men were killed last week in a murder-suicide near LeChee, a Navajo Nation community just south of Page.
"The Navajo Department of Public Safety's Criminal Investigations office said the incident last Wednesday claimed the lives of Kelly Joe, 21, of Coppermine, and Truman Tracy, 23, of LeChee.
"Relatives of Tracy called police at 4:16 p.m. July 7 to report hearing gunfire and finding Joe and Tracy lying on the ground outside their home, located west of milepost 2 of Coppermine Road, said CI office spokesman Albert Nez.
"Initial investigation revealed Tracy had shot Joe in the forehead with an assault rifle at a range of less than 10 feet, and then turned the gun on himself, Nez said. A motive for the shooting was unclear. While the men knew each other, they were not the best of friends, Nez said."
