One Dead, Two Hurt In Botched Hat Trick

"DETROIT, MI - Three people were shot on Detroit's west side Sunday afternoon, Detroit police said, in an apparent murder-suicide attempt.

"Before turning the gun on himself, a 43-year-old man shot his 34-year-old ex-girlfriend and an 18-year-old man in the 14500 block of Burt Road.

"The woman is in an area hospital in critical condition. The male victim, who was shot in the leg, is also hospitalized."
