Fatal Reconciliation

"RYE, TX - Liberty County Sheriff Henry Patterson confirmed Monday morning, July 19, that his department is investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide in Liberty County.

"The incident took place on Budge Road in Hoop ‘n’ Holler near Rye in northern Liberty County.

"At this me, there is no information on the ages of the victims, but the sheriff said the victims are a man and a woman.

"According to family sources, the husband and wife had recently separated but were attempting to reconcile. It is also believed that the man may have become despondent about the state of his marriage and shot his wife before turning the gun on himself."
