Death At The Big Boy

"MIDDLETOWN, OH — Two people are dead after a murder-suicide outside a popular restaurant in Middletown.

"A call came into dispatch around 12:45 Saturday afternoon, reporting that two people were shot outside of the Frish's Big Boy restaurant located in the 3500 block of South Dixie Highway near the Town Mall.

"Police say 55-year-old Ernie Sexton was sitting in the parking lot in his pickup truck, waiting to pick up his girlfriend who works at Frish's.

"Police say 26-year-old James Riley pulled up in a car and blocked the truck in.

"Police say Riley got a shotgun out of the trunk of his car, then fired several shots into the truck, killing Sexton.

"Police say Riley then killed himself. His body was found on the pavement outside the pickup truck.

"... Sexton's girlfriend is Riley's ex-wife.

"The investigation now continues."
