Neighbor Shoots Shooter

"ST. CLOUD, FL — Police in Osceola County said they are investigating the deaths of a married couple in St. Cloud.

"Officers said Margaret Durinick ran to a neighbor's home on the 800 block of Chamberlain Trail for help after her husband, Christopher Durinick, threatened to kill her.

"Police said the man followed his wife to the neighbors home and shot her. The neighbor, who was armed, then shot Durinick in the stomach, police said.

"Police said Durinick then returned to his home and fatally shot himself by placing a gun under his chin on the front porch of his family's home in the Indian Lakes subdivision.

"Margaret Durinick was rushed to an area hospital, but was later pronounced dead, police said.

"Police said the couple had three small children, a 6, 3, and 1-year-old. Police said the couple was in the midst of a divorce.

"The investigation is still ongoing, authorities said."
