Shooter Checks Out At Walmart


"GRAND BLANC TWP, MI — Thomas Rothley, who police were searching for as a person of interest in the case of his father's homicide, killed himself in the parking lot of a Wal Mart at about 4:16 p.m., according to police.

"Flint Township police found Joseph Rothley, 47, shot to death inside his home at 10:18 a.m. this morning.

"Thomas Rothley, 23, lived in the home with his father. Police were searching for a black Dodge Ram truck that Rothley was driving.

"`Investigators received a tip that the vehicle... was parked near the Walmart Store located at 6170 S. Saginaw Street in Grand Blanc Township,` Flint Township Police Chief George Sippert said in a news release. `As officers approached the vehicle at approximately 4 p.m., Thomas Rothley, took his own life.`

"Police said the investigation continues."

  2. well atleast he didnt go into the store and hurt anyone else. What a sick person to do that to his father... Wow where is this world going ill tell u straight to hell. what happened to honor thy father and mother? we need god in this world much more then ever.

  3. He lost his mother to breast cancer when he was still a kid. He was a hurting soul who got messed up with drugs. The drugs took over. He was a good kid. He was sorry and distraught. You just don't know the personal pain and struggles another person might have. Honor your own father and mother and be greatful that you are not hurting that bad.
