No Motive In Deaths Of Distant Relatives

"HARTSELLE, AL — The Morgan County Sheriff's office is investigating a murder/suicide between two relatives. The incident happened on 29 Perry Anders Road in Hartselle. It runs off of Barkley Bridge Road.

"According to Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin, neighbors called 911 this morning after hearing a gunshot. Deputies found a man dead in the front yard of the home. He appears to have died from a gunshot.

"Deputies then found another man dead in a nearby barn. They believe that man committed suicide after killing the first man.

"The two men have been identified as Charles Anders, 64 and Kenneth Anders, 61. The Sheriff says the two men are distant relatives. There is no word on a motive for the shooting. "
