Elderly Brother & Sister Found Dead

"CHULA, MO — The Livingston County Sheriff's Department is investigating a possible murder-suicide.

"At around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies were called to a home just outside of Chula after a neighbor spotted someone lying on the floor inside the home.

"Deputies think 83-year-old Charles Casebeer shot his sister, 84-year-old Margret Casebeer, before turning the gun on himself.

"Authorities believe the siblings had been dead for four days.

"They're now going through medical records to see if the siblings had any health issues that would explain what happened.

"Those who knew them say they were well liked in the community.

"Authorities don't believe anyone would have wanted to target the siblings."
