Fired Teacher Initiates High School Horror
"JACKSONVILLE, FL — Two people have been shot and killed at Episcopal High School, according to Tom Francis of the Jacksonville Fire-Rescue Department.
"According to First Coast News sources Head of School Dale Regan is one of those killed.
"The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reports the situation is under control and there no suspects.
"Melissa Bujeda, Public Information Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, said there were no students killed or injured. Bujeda said that right now it appears to be a murder-suicide.
"After lunch an employee of the school who had been fired earlier in the day returned to Episcopal's campus, according to JSO Undersheriff Dwain Senterfitt. The teacher had an assault rifle hidden in a guitar case, Senterfitt said.
"The former employee shot and killed the head master, Dale Regan, and then turned the gun on himself. The fired teacher has not been identified pending notification of next of kin."
