NJ Couple Had No History Of Violence

"LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man was dead and a woman was badly injured in what Gloucester County officials believe was an attempted murder-suicide early Wednesday.

"Authorities were called to the house on the 100 block of Barker Avenue in Logan Township around 1:50 a.m., according to Logan Township Police.

"They found a 48-year-old man dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and his 47-year-old girlfriend suffering from gunshot wound to the head, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.

"The woman was rushed to Crozer Chester Medical Center where she was listed in critical but stable condition late Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

"It was unclear what led to the shooting in the living room of the home the couple moved into about a year ago but prosecutors say it appears to be an attempted murder-suicide. There is no history of violence at the home and police say they had never been to the home before."
