No Details Released In Suspected Murder/Suicide
"EDWARDSVILLE, KS — Edwardsville police released the names this afternoon of two men found shot to death Monday afternoon in the western Wyandotte County community.
"David McKay, 43, lived at the home where the shootings occurred in the 500 block of High Street.
"Police identified the other man as 28-year-old Javreese Lockett. Police said he lived in the Kansas City area but a specific address was not available for him.
"Police were called to the house on a reported shooting about 4:20 p.m. Monday and found both men dead inside.
"A woman and a four-year-old boy were in the home at the time of the shooting but did not witness it, police said.
"No details were released about circumstances surrounding the shooting.
"In a Tuesday morning press release, Edwardsville Police Chief Mark Mathies said investigators believe the incident was a possible murder-suicide. But an official ruling will have to be made later by the Wyandotte County district attorney, according to investigators. They said no suspects were being sought."
