"SANDY SPRINGS, GA — One woman is dead and her husband is injured following a shooting that police think was a murder-suicide attempt.
"Investigators believe the husband shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself at an apartment complex Saturday night, Sandy Springs Police Lt. Steve Rose told WSB Radio in a statement early Sunday morning.
"The man survived the shooting and was taken to North Fulton Hospital, authorities said.
"`Both were attending a function at an apartment at the time of the shooting,` Lt. Rose said. `(They were) shot in the parking lot of the apartment building.`
"The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night in the Legacy Key Apartments at 1910 Summit Springs Drive.
"Police are not releasing the couple's names. "
