Motive Unknown In Double Murder/Suicide

"TRUSSVILLE, AL — Trussville Police continue to investigate a double murder and suicide.

"Officers were called to a home on 7646 Cottonridge Road around 1pm where they found three bodies.

"Police have identified the victims as 59-year-old Larry Pierce, his 59-year-old wife, Sharon Pierce, and his brother, 61-year-old William Pierce.

"Police found one body in the main house, one in the guest house, and one in a car by the garage. All three victims had gunshot wounds.

"Police say they still don't know the motive, but believe Larry Pierce shot Sharon and William and then killed himself.

"`It's a very nice neighborhood. Of course, you know....domestic incidents, you never know. Any number of things can trigger something like that,` said Trussville Police Chief Don Sively, `Anytime you have something like this...it's shocking.`

"Neighbors described the Pierce family as friendly and quiet and said there were never any incidents at their home. They said they were shocked to hear the news.

"Trussville police continue to investigate the incident."
