"Unclear Motive" In Double Murder/Suicide

"GLENDALE, AZ — Police found what they believe was the scene of a double murder-suicide Friday morning, a spokesman Glendale police said.

"It is unknown when John La Rocca Jr., 31, may have shot his step-mother Patrice La Rocca, 55, and his father, John La Rocca, 55, before taking his own life, said Officer Brent Coombs, Glendale Police Dept.

"The police were responding to a welfare call at the house on 5523 West Yucca Friday morning around 7 a.m. when they found the bodies of the family in the same room.

"The motive for the murder-suicide remains unclear, but police are not looking for any suspects.

"The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's office must still confirm the cause of death."

  1. I knew these people from when I was a kid. I don't find this website amusing.

  2. This is my family and there really was NO motive. My cousin called me 4 days before this took place and he sounded normal. There were few warning signs but nothing pointing to why this tragedy took place. Please don't blog about somethings tragic. Imagine this happening within YOUR family! Of course we thought it would never happen in ours. This kind of gruesome events are supposed to be in the movies only. Unfortunately this was real.

  3. My condolences to you and your family. I knew John and Nancy back when he lived in Chicago and my mom and her bf have since visited them in Arizona. It was very sad to hear. And I agree, this is a completely messed up site. Who wants to think about this stuff, and then make a website about it none the less? (I'm the first commenter btw)
