10 Year Old Shot By Mom Dies

"DUNEDIN, FL — The 10-year-old girl shot by her mother Thursday in their apartment died Saturday morning, deputies said.

"Kassidie Rae McMillin was pronounced dead after being removed from life support.

"She was shot by her mother, Tina Marie Foster, who then turned the gun on herself, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

"Foster, 39, died Thursday.

"Her husband, William, discovered the mother and daughter Thursday night at the apartment at 1763 Main St.

"William Foster is Kassidie's stepfather.

"Kassidie underwent surgery at Bayfront Medical Center before being transferred to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, where she died.

"Kassidie was a fourth-grader at San Jose Elementary School. On Friday, distraught staff members there sought counseling, and parents were at a loss to explain the tragedy, as were the family's neighbors...
