Victim's Mother Makes Disturbing Discovery

"CAPE CORAL, FL — Cape Coral Police say they now know how a couple discovered dead in their home Sunday afternoon died. Their deaths were a result of a murder-suicide.

"`Our detectives believe this is a murder-suicide,` said Lieutenant Tony Sizemore.

"Marcus Jackson, 31 and 28-yr old Tara Brissette were found dead inside the master bedroom of 1413 Sw 16th Terrace Sunday afternoon.

"Police say Tara's mother made the disturbing discovery.

"`A family member went to the home to retrieve some items and stumbled upon this discovery and called us,` said Sizemore.

"Cape Coral Police say Jackson shot himself with a shotgun. Tara's cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. Police say she was not shot."
