Three Dead In Parking Garage Murder/Suicide

"SAN JOSE, CA — Three people were killed in a burst of gunfire at a San Jose State University parking garage in an apparent double murder-suicide, the first shooting deaths in campus history, authorities said today.

"The shootings happened on the fifth floor of the North Garage at the corner of South 10th and East San Fernando streets at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, campus spokeswoman Pat Lopes Harris said.

"Two people were pronounced dead at the scene inside a car, and a third person, who authorities believe was the shooter, was found elsewhere in the garage and died at 10:30 p.m. at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose. Their names have not been released."
