Woman Hospitalized After Botched Murder/Suicide

"BUFFALO, NY — Buffalo Police spent much of midday Saturday at the scene of an apparent murder-suicide.

"Officers were called to an address in the 200-block of Parkridge Avenue, near East Amherst Street just before eleven o'clock Saturday morning. A male and female victim had each been shot.

"The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The female victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center with what police describe as `serious upper body injuries.`

"Police have identified the victims only as a couple, in their 20s.

"Homicide detectives are in charge of the investigation."
