Unknown Number Of Victims In Possible Murder/Suicide

"LOOMIS, CA — At least two people were found dead in a Loomis home earlier today in what could possibly be a murder-suicide scenario, said Det. Sgt. Alfredo Guitron of the Placer County Sheriff's Department.

"Emergency personnel were called to the house in the 6100 block of Rachel Lane just before 10 a.m. after a visiting friend found an unconscious woman, Guitron said.

"When Loomis firefighters arrived a minute later, there were additional victims discovered, Guitron said, although he would not say how many.

"All the victims - who are adults in their 40s - were associated with the home.

"`This is not random,` Guitron said. `But we don't know the relationship of everyone inside.`

"Detectives are treating the investigation as a homicide. They are interviewing neighbors who say there were rumors of shots being fired Friday at about 7 p.m. although no one reported it to authorities, Guitron said."
