Small Town Shook Up Over Murder/Suicide

"SHAMBAUGH, IA — A possible murder suicide is shaking up a small town in southwest Iowa.

"The Iowa Department of Public Safety is handling an investigation in Shambaugh near Clarinda.

"Law enforcement officers were called to a home on 506 2nd Street Wednesday evening after getting a call from a man saying he'd shot his wife and was thinking about shooting himself.

"Investigators surrounded the house and entered it after they were unable to contact the couple.

"The bodies of Frank McCoy and Karen McCoy were found dead in the home.

"Autopsies will be performed to determine how they died."
