Two Dead, One Injured In Attempted Double Murder/Suicide

"GREENVILLE, IL — Police say a domestic quarrel fueled a triple shooting in the city of Greenville, leaving two people dead and a third wounded.

"Greenville Police Chief Lou Lorton said 64-year-old James Bauserman shot his son, Thomas Bauserman, and daughter-in-law, Samantha Bauserman, and then fatally shot himself at the home they shared on 401 South Sixth Street.

"Police got the call for a shooting at 6:44 p.m. Sunday.

"James Bauserman was pronounced dead at the scene. Samantha Bauserman, 29, died later at Greenville Regional Hospital. Thomas Bauserman, 34, was wounded in the leg and was reported in stable condition Monday in a Springfield, Ill., hospital.

"Lorton said James Bauserman's body was found on a rear deck. His son and daughter-in-law were shot inside the house."
