Police: Nothing Rules Out Murder/Sucide

"VERONA, MS — Autopsy results are pending on two people found dead Friday in a West Street home, but Verona Police Chief Leo Mask said nothing found in the investigation so far rules out a murder-suicide.

"The two victims have been identified by Lee County Coroner Carolyn Gillentine-Green as 34-year-old Crystal Sheffield Orick of Lee County and Carlos Fowler Jr., 70, of the West Street residence.

"The two were pronounced dead of gunshot wounds at the scene late Friday afternoon, and both bodies have been sent to Jackson for autopsy, Mask said.

"Mask said the investigation is ongoing."
