Family Member Finds Couple Dead

"MEMPHIS, TN — Relatives of an older couple found dead in a Whitehaven house on 1247 Rosecliff Ave. identified them as 69-year-old James DeBose and his wife of 48 years, 63-year-old Edna DeBose.

"Police have told the family it appears to be a case of a murder-suicide.

"A family member found them at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning after the couple failed to return phone calls.

"The family said James DeBose had been suffering from multiple sclerosis and his health had deteriorated more rapidly in recent years.

"Family members said the DeBoses had four children and 11 grandchildren."
