No Motive In Jersey Shore Double Murder/Suicide
"LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ — Three people are dead after a double murder and apparent suicide in Little Egg Harbor's Tall Timbers development this morning.
"In an afternoon press conference, authorities explained that Craig Mueller, 45, of 67 Westchester Drive, shot and killed his brother Bryan Mueller, 52, also of 67 Westchester Drive around 11 a.m. Monday. Craig Mueller also shot and killed Kara Ellis, 21, who lived two doors down from the Muellers and had rushed to Brian Mueller's aid.
"Both victims were shot multiple times with an AR-15 assault rifle.
"Police explained that Craig Mueller shot his brother from a second story window of the home they shared. Bryan Mueller was on the sidewalk outside the residence when he was gunned down. After the two shootings, the gunman died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
"An investigation into the incident is pending. Authorities have not established a motive in the killings.
"The area surrounding the crime scene is still secured and some residents of the development may not be able to return to their homes tonight."
