Shooter Critical After Attempted Murder/Suicide

"MESA, AZ — Mesa Police say that a man is dead, after he was allegedly shot by his own son, who then failed in his suicide attempt.

"It happened at a home near Gilbert and Broadway in Mesa.

"Mesa Police say that an adult male shot his father, then shot himself.

"The father died at the scene, and the son was airlifted to Scottsdale-Osborn Hospital in critical condition.

"There's no information on their identities or the circumstances of the shooting."
