Mom And Kids Found Dead

"CARROLLTON, OH — Investigators are reviewing a note found after a 24-year-old mother shot and killed her 18-month-old son and 6-year-old daughter.

"Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams said the woman killed herself. Her name has not been released as of 2:30 p.m. Williams said both children have fathers who reside out of state, and no details, names or further information would be presented until those fathers and other next-of-kin have been notified.

"The woman's father, who lives in the home at 114 Waynesburg Road in Carrollton, notified police around 7:30 a.m.

"A motive was not immediately known and the Sheriff's Department remains at the scene of the home in a rural area of Harrison Township.

"Williams addressed members of the media after 2 p.m.

"He said the woman’s father was home at the time but did not witness the shooting."
